Core IT was founded by Kim Hikichi after seeing too many businesses stuck with IT providers who treated them like just another ticket number. Tickets sat in queues, documentation didn’t exist, and leadership had no clear view of their IT health.
Kim began his career serving in the military, where discipline, precision, and accountability were a must. That same mindset shaped how he approached IT, with clear documentation, proactive processes, and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
After retraining in technology, he learned cabling, worked for a family friend’s IT business, and later joined another MSP, building strong client relationships along the way. In 2002, he launched Core IT with a simple goal: deliver IT support that’s personal, proactive, and built to last.
As they grew into a seasoned team, Core IT has kept clients for decades by combining hands on service with the scale and expertise to handle complex IT environments.
